The Ford Explorer has been conquering trails around Middle River for decades. As a strong performer, it's been one of the leaders in its class, and at Bob Davidson Ford Lincoln, we're excited that 2025 is getting ready to hit the road.

Ford has updated the 2025 version with new technology, including a software system called the Ford Digital Experience, and it has upgraded the cabin with new materials. Plus, it's narrowed down the trim options to the Active, ST-Line, ST, and Platinum.

The Active, ST-Line and Platinum trims handle themselves well on Baltimore, MD, roads, using their turbocharged 2.3-liter engines. One of these engines can produce 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.

It can be set up with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, along with a Terrain Management System that allows you to choose between six driving modes. Those modes include Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, and Trail.

If you'd like to drive an SUV that showcases even more abilities, consider the Explorer ST. This trim runs on a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine that takes horsepower up to 400. With so much power, the Explorer ST can accelerate quickly on open Towson roads. To improve performance, its engine has been matched with special brakes and a sports suspension.

In addition, the 2025 Ford Explorer will impress you with how much space it offers. Behind its third row of seats, you'll find 16.3 cubic feet of cargo space. You can increase cargo volume to around 46 or 85 cubic feet of space by lowering the third or second rows, respectively.

Expect to see a lot of high-tech equipment in the 2025 Ford Explorer's safety suite. Its driver-assist technologies can protect you as you travel around White Marsh, and its BlueCruise program can give you a hands-free driving experience.
